A Mother’s Love. I’ve been so sick with influenza this week and even left work on Monday at lunch so ill, I had to find afternoon sub coverage. It’s been miserable and I’ve been in bed most of the week hardly able to do anything. When I texted my mom on Tuesday that I was sick, she offered to bring me anything — and she delivered chicken noodle soup from Chick-fil-A, with a Coke and a brownie. Every day this week!
We still have masks so that I could receive the food and not get her sick. I have loved seeing her every day, even just for a moment on my porch with masks. I remember six years ago —the fear and angst we all felt with pandemic living. Even then, she was a steady support.
My mom is such a blessing in my life and shows up in many ways!! I am so grateful for her. Sometimes love shows up in delivering soup. Grateful for her love!
