TEN years ago today, we adopted a loving, and curious chocolate lab in the Chicagoland suburbs.

He was full of energy and not yet one year old. Ranger was originally named Sawyer and had a brother named Tom. They were found wandering in the forests of Tennessee, running away from their owners until a kind of person brought them to Midwest Lab Rescue.

We met our dog Ranger on a Saturday afternoon, adopted him, and brought him to his furrever home.
Since August 29, 2015, this choclate lab baby has been part of the family.
The amount of joy he brings each day is incredible.

He loves cheese, meatballs, hiking in the mountains, cuddling in blankets and letting the girls wrap him in towels after a bath.
He’s an eternal optimist about the Green Bay Packers and is especially excited about their new rusher.
Ranger loves to help in the kitchen with dinner prep and stand in front of the washer and dryer because I’m washing his blankets.

Rescue a pup! You might find the pup has rescued you, too.
In the Chicago area, Midwest lab rescue and Chicagoland lab rescue are phenomenal places. In Denver, Safe Harbor Lab Rescue is incredible. Happiest TEN years of being our Ranger!
