“Cornelia believed when she dug and found bulbs in a barren garden. Again the Lord provided in ways only He could offer, and they stepped forward in trust, even in places as ordinary as a garden. Those tulip bulbs were like flakes of manna from Heaven, like the Israelites’ blessed provision in a dry and thirsty desert following deliverance, through the miraculous Exodus from Egypt. Tulip bulbs were the sustenance and offered a moment of hope, and rescue from famine.”

How has God provided for you in ways only He could accomplish? Sometimes I fear we may dismiss his miracles as a common occurrence or coincidence. Why do we expect or demand those blessings and feel disappointed if the Lord doesn’t come through for us? Alas, we’re human…

I long to view God’s provision as a current, as an alive and vibrant gift which I can pass along to others. For we first learn love from the Lord, and then we can share that love with others. The same with manna from Heaven, whichever way manna arrives. Will you look for His manna in your life?
